What I'm working on...

Hi everyone,

I'm so busy doing what feels like empty time but hopefully will be full time soon.

I have been working in my studio. I am working on a couple paintings, getting set up for doing videos of my art process, giving art lessons and getting ready for this next school year to start. This means cleaning and organizing the studio for max efficiency. Sadly, I have projects from my classes that I haven't gone through in years. Yes, I admit it...years. The good side is in weeding my way through all of this I have purged so much. I'm about 80 percent of the way done and even though there is still so much to do it is so much closer to being functional. As an Art teacher I have to focus on a little of everything so it can get a lot confusing in the studio at times. I always have work in progress because of this.

Once I have this done I will be focusing on my YouTube channel. I want to get some fun videos of my antics in the studio posted. I'm planning on an every Friday post starting in August. Goals are a good thing to have. And deadlines are a must for me to have.

August will also be when I fine tune my curriculum for my classes. Maybe there are some fun, silly videos that will come out of this. I will be working on timelines, projects and how to best support what they are learning in their core classes. Art in any form is a must in schools, but fine art applies what they learn in Math and Science. It also communicates to the viewer but art is not intrinsically connected to communication/English class. I do try to make one project in the year focus on how they communicate with art though.
